An example of a "repair" to a cracked area in the pegboard.

The cracked area.

Insert the tangs of the DRS plate in a pair of undamaged holes in the pegboard above the holes where you want to place the hanger.  In this example, the cracked area  could have been repaired with one plate, but two have been used to demonstrate the modularity of the system.

Insert the hanger through both the DRS plate and the pegboard.  The hanger is now usable and can support significantly more weight.

The reverse of the pegboard shows that the load on the hanger is now distributed over six tangs, allowing the hanger to carry significantly more weight while greatly reducing the stress on the pegboard!
